If you live in the North of England and have nothing to do this Thursday night, then I highly recommend that you turn off your phone, put down the lid of your laptop, grab a fiver and head on down to the Northumberland Arms in Newcastle for 7.30pm where Haar, The Infernal Sea and Blind Spite are performing.
If you want your local extreme metal scene to survive, it’s vital to show support by turning up to gigs – even if it is on a work night. To see three phenomenal black metal acts for the measly sum of five quid is an opportunity not to be missed. Sacrifice a few hours sleep for live music and transcendental listening experiences. The bands will thank you. The organisers will thank you. Your future self will thank you. Check out the gig’s Facebook events page for more information, and get a taste of each band by listening to the tracks posted below.
