The other week I encountered the esoteric work of Brian Sheenan AKA Legerdemain and, for a moment, the world stopped spinning. Everything went silent and I was, for a while, somewhere else, somewhere dark, somewhere unsafe for mere mortals.
Brian manipulates vintage and new photography to create macarbe visages which, once seen, are utterly impossible to forget.
I spent a long time on his Instagram page, bowled over by the scope of his work, and fascinated by the small insights into his dark, wyrd world. I was particularly impressed with his handcrafted masks, which can fool anyone into thinking they’ve just walked into a nightmare of the bleakest kind.
Brian is one of the artists you can find at CVLT Nation Bizarre. His impeccable, unnerving, extremely diverse range of prints are very reasonably priced, so even if your bank account is looking a bit sad, you should still be able to afford to darken a corner of your home.

The first of many from another extensive collaboration w/ @breelzebubb this past weekend. The new job is prime, the freelance work is grand, and recording is going swimmingly, but I'm left with next to no time to work on personal projects as of late. Glad an exception was made.
