Art Of The Depressed

I’ve been wanting to write to you and write to you and write to you until my fingers are bloody and my heart is full, because that is what I do, that is why I’m here. But I can only manage a few words today. You see, I’m on a different sort of medication now and I’m starting to feel a bit better.

But I need to slowly, slowly ease myself back into a creative state of being. I learned the hard way that it can’t be rushed. I need to take it a little bit at a time, a few words here, a few words there, and gradually build myself back up.

I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time – share with you some artworks I’ve gathered together that illustrate depression, including one of my own.
